About
My name is Craig and I have been collecting power line equipment for over 35 years. My father was a lineman for a local utility. Most all of my artifacts were salvaged from the trash bin.
My collection includes insulators, fuse cutouts, lightening arresters, switches and other miscellaneous line equipment. This web site is dedicated to my collection and as a tribute to the noble profession of line work. Many thanks to the friends, family and local lineman who have helped me acquire the various artifacts in my collection over the years. |
While there are many insulator collectors across the country, there are far fewer individuals collecting power line equipment. Porcelain has long been the most common insulating material used to make power line equipment. However, with the advent of new light weight composite non-conductive materials, the power line equipment industry is changing quickly. As time passes, we will see less and less porcelain and some of the pieces in my collection may ultimately be the only remaining artifact of their kind.
I encourage other collectors to contract me as I'm always interested in learning about other collections and visiting with fellow collectors.
Thanks for visiting
